Conditions of employment:

  • Full time 32h

  • Salary to be discussed

  • Variable schedule
    (4 or 5 days a week, depending on your reality)

  • 10 months a year

  • Employment contract for 2 years, to be validated afterwards

What proximity facilitator means:​

  • Proactively reach populations far from services;

  • Act in prevention by using networking and social integration strategies;

  • Act in relational proximity and constantly adapt to the unexpected;

  • Act in concert with the territory's partners;

  • Promote the empowerment and social participation of citizens.

Tasks:

  • Intervene and support families who use the Family support program and volunteer families;

  • Intervene and support families who request support themselves or who are referred by the CISSS or other community organizations;

  • Ensure follow-ups for the services Accessible food and the community garden, in collaboration with the person in charge of the activities;

  • Ensure the follow-up of deliveries (home service);

  • Support the daycare center manager, if necessary, in particular by providing support and developing tools, according to the realities encountered;

  • All other related tasks.

Requirements:

  • Education: CEGEP or equivalent Special education, early childhood education, social work;

  • Years of experience related to the job: 1 year in intervention (a big asset, if it's more, even better!);

  • Skills: dynamic, motivated, organized, punctual, independant, trustworthy, community-minded, etc.

  • Criminal background check.
